The Beijing Olympics and its slogan “One World, One Dream” is fast approaching, but for gay dreamers out there, one dream remains unfulfilled, one better met by the Copenhagen 2009 World Outgames and its slogan: “Love of Freedom – Freedom to Love.” The Outgames may be a comrade’s true calling as it’s a place where the meaning of sport isn’t limited to just running faster, jumping higher or or being stronger — instead it’s a event about celebrating uniqueness, promoting individuality and love without boundaries. Having never sent a delegation to the World Outgames before, what are China’s plans for next year? In this episode, we’ll speak to a representative from a Chinese sports delegation for the World Outgames and learn about their plans for 2009. In our on-site interview segment, we’ll talk to a foreign athlete who represented China at the 2002 Sydney Gay Games and learn about how the world cheered on China’s first appearance.
