On 25 February, 2 volunteers of the Beijing LGBT Center applied for same-sex marriage registration in Beijing’s Dongcheng District. After being turned down, they ran into Pu Cunxin. This attracted a lot of attention from mainstream media. The legalizing of same-sex marriage instantly became a hot topic again.
