The Dongbei LGBT Culture Festival took place in June and included Gay, Lesbian and Transgender forums and events. It included a Lesbian Moonlight Salon, a Transgender Beauty Pageant, discussions about media strategies and the founding of a Dongbei PFLAG chapter. Starting with a splendid opening ceremony and ending with a large-scale party for charity, the Culture Festival lasted for 3 days and other organizations still held some after-festival events
