The Beijing LGBT mental health hotline 88517980, which was set up in 1997 by the Beijing Gender Health Education Institute as China’s first hotline aimed at the sexual minority community, has welcomed a new team of professional mental health workers. Our counseling includes mental support, information about safe sex, information about sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS prevention knowledge, how to safeguard your legal rights as an LGBT person, etc.
