On 22 December 2012, the 2nd China Rainbow Media Awards Ceremony took place at the Donlord International Hotel in Guangzhou. 8 Major Prizes were awarded.
Hong Kong artists Anthony Wong and Denise Ho received this year’s Special Contribution Award. More than 30 Media Outlets from around the country and countless LGBT activists and audience members attended the ceremony. Celebrities Fan Bingbing, Anthony Wong, Xu Gehui, Lv-Qiu Luwei, Cheng Qingsong, Chow Yiufai and Zhao Ke, among others, offered their support for China’s LGBT movement by recording short video messages.
