The 6th Beijing Queer Film Festival, held from 19 to 23 June 2013, was a huge success. The Film Festival featured 28 films from 9 countries. It was the first time the festival took place in downtown Beijing without government interference. Considering the festival’s history, this can be regarded as a small miracle.
Is it a sign that the space for queer events is becoming larger in China?
